Churches and Chapels
Church of San Bernardo
Rebuilt church. Only te plateresque facade has been preserved of the original structure. Here, Santa Teresa de Jesús founded a convent at the request of the bishop Don Álvaro de Mendoza, which later on was used by the order of Saint Bernard, hence the name.
The gable en is a two-tier stone Plateresque altarpiece with three vertical lanes separated by fluted columns with compound capitals decorated with vegetal motifs. In the centre stands the figure of Saint Bernard, flanked by two coats-of-arms with vases and lilies. The facade is topped by a brick wall.
