Church of San Juan de Barbalos
Founded in the mid 12th century by the Orden del Hospital (Order of the Hospice). On the outside it preserves a Romanesque apse with three narrow windows with columns and supports sculpted in the entrance door and on the roof of the apse there is a Gothic sculpture of the Virgin and Child.
Inside, the single nave has a pointed barrel vault in the presbytery, with a sculpture of the Cristo de la Zarza (Christ of the Thorn Bus), a Romanesque image of the 12th century, and a painted stone image of the Virgen de las Guindas (Virgin of the Cherries) of the late 15th century.
