Imposing temple with a 50 m high bell tower, it is a building from 1533 by the architect Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón. It is dedicated to Santa María, currently it is the parish church of the town, being cataloged as a Historical-Artistic Monument. The church was rebuilt in 1620 after a fire that devastated much of the building. It has a monumental ungilded Baroque main altarpiece of great beauty built by Juan Manuel Becerril in 1777. The Iberian organ, the work of Antonio Martínez and built in 1778, is striking.
