The old church of San Juan Bautista, present hermitage of the Pieta, was the seat of the only parish of the town, until it happened to share this function with that of San Pedro, founded as a result of the population growth.

The interior responds to a building with three naves. The central one appears covered, in the sections of the feet, with a simple coffered ceiling, that had to be realized in the first half of the XV century. The headboard, with a square floor plan, is covered with impressive Mudéjar armor.

Few are the artistic pieces of interest preserved, highlighting a Gothic image of the crucified, the fourteenth century and a simple iron pulpit of the sixteenth. Since 2009 it has been used as a scenic space for cultural activities.
