Carbajalino Costume Museum
Talking about Carbajal embroidery is talking about art and history.
The objective is to publicize and value the rich traditional party and work clothing, for men and women, from the different regions of the province of Zamora. Although the exhibition revolves around the Villa's Embroidery Carbajalinos, which are located in the small room, as its main axis, it has complete costumes from the areas of Aliste, La Carballeda, Benavente-Los Valles, Sayago, Sanabria, Tierra de Campos and Alfoz de Toro. In the sample three historical pieces of the traditional pottery of Moveros appear as a complement.
In the exhibition shines with its own light the emblematic and historical alistana brown cape of Honor and Respect that for centuries has been judge and party in weddings, councils, burials, trials, lawsuits and Holy Week processions. An elegant and stately garment made of pure art with brown cloths made from the wool of native sheep.
