Inaugurated in 2014 in the old Town Hall of La Vecilla, in front of the Town Hall in the Torreón, the Rooster Museum aims to show the peculiarities of these exceptional roosters, at the initiative of the 21 breeders of the Leonese Feathered Rooster. Its funds - which include objects from the world of fishing - come from contributions from breeders, fly craftsmen and fishermen from Leon and other provinces. The ground floor is dedicated to a fly assembly room, courses, conferences, audiovisuals and a small shop, while the first floor houses the Museum itself. Thus you can see photos, sculptures and curious figures of roosters, collections of feather mallets, different types of flies made with Leon feathers, collections of silk and nylon threads necessary for the production of said flies, the utensils used in their production. assembly, different old fishing tools, fishing and fly-tying books and notebooks, trout and other objects related to fishing.
