It is installed in the Castle of Arevalo, a fortress of stone and brick, of pentagonal plan with a large Tower Keep. The oldest part of the castle corresponds to the heart of the tower keep, where is this museum, an exhibition space for anyone wishing to learn or see the main features of the history of cereal, of great importance in the region of La Moraña.

Currently there are 250 varieties of wheat, 150 of other cereals (oats, barley, rye, rice and corn) keeping of each ears and grain, and in the case of rice ears, paddy rice and brown rice.
