The Gredos Mountain Range and the Iruelas Valley, both situated in the province of Ávila, aim to lead the field in the worlds of astrotourism and astrophotography. In this sense, and within the framework of the Cielos Oscuros (‘Dark Skies’) project, a total of 19 star gazing viewpoints have been designed and created in a number of municipalities, providing prime locations from which to observe the skies whilst at the same time admiring the spectacular natural scenery.
