From the town of Mombuey , once you have passed the AVE route, the 7-kilometer descending route runs along good roads winding through oak groves until you reach the Valparaiso reservoir , where you can enjoy its crystalline waters from the Tera River.

After leaving the dam on the reservoir, the road ascends to pass over the AVE route and reach the N-525, which it crosses through an underground passage, and runs parallel for 2 kilometers on its northern side. A short distance away, the route coincides for 3.7 kilometers with the Camino de Santiago Sanabrés de la Vía de la Plata to reach Rinegro del Puente , where there is a preregrino hostel and the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de la Carballeda is located. which is guarded by the patron saint of the region.

The road crosses Rionegro del Puente and passes under the A-52 and then next to it, just over 1 kilometer, turn looking for the town of Santa Eulalia del Río Negro, 3.4 kilometers away.
