Gredos always exerts a powerful magnetism on every nature lover and in the heart of the Regional Park is located the Laguna del Duque or Solana, the largest of glacial origin in the entire natural area. It is reached from the town of Solana de Avila, over a 252-meter slope following a high mountain path that crosses forests of birch, ash, hawthorn, oak and pine trees, so in spring it is quite a spectacle.
