The reservoir, Central and Villalcampo dam (also known as ‘salto de Villalcampo’) is a work of hydroelectric engineering built on the middle of the course of the Duero river. It is located at 6 kilometers from the town of Villalcampo, in the province of Zamora and in the called Arribes del Duero place.

It is interesting to visit the village next to the reservoir, with its church, and observe the wildlife in this environment.
