To the south of the city of Burgos and east of Palencia , where the river from which it receives its name flows through lands of vineyards, juniper forests, cereals and sunflowers, the Arlanza Wine Route runs. Nature and wine are concepts that are inexcusably linked, a landscape that runs along the banks of the Arlanza River, from the pine forests of Quintanar de la Sierra, to the border with Palencia where it flows into the Pisuerga at the height of Torquemada.

The Tinta del País or Tempranillo grape, adapted to the area since ancient times, gives the wines of this route their own personality. This Route brims with history, beauty and nobility through the emblazoned houses that you can find in the municipalities through which it runs, whose antiquity dates back to the 15th century.
