On Monday, May 18 , at 6:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Public Library of Palencia , the talk "Easy Reading, reading for all people" will be held by Beatriz Hoyos Porro , a teacher specializing in hearing and language and psychopedagogy, and organized by the Easy Reading Association of Castilla y León.

The conference covers the concept of easy reading, what it is and who it is aimed at, regulations and criteria for easy reading, strategies and resources for adapting texts, easy reading clubs as a classroom resource, among other topics.

Access to culture, information, and literature is a democratic right and a social necessity. Reading builds confidence and the ability to broaden one's worldview and make decisions about one's own life. It sharpens critical thinking, awakens the imagination, and allows us to share ideas, thoughts, and experiences… Ultimately, it helps us grow as individuals.
