The Ministry of Industry and Tourism, through the State Secretariat for Tourism, presents the new stage of 'Hosts: Training and Tourism Talent', a program that is evolving towards a global multi-channel learning system, designed to consolidate talent and professional excellence as one of the pillars of the Spanish tourism ecosystem.
The tourism sector has a revamped Global Learning System that expands the public training offerings for professionals and key stakeholders in the tourism ecosystem. Anfitriones is evolving by integrating new learning formats designed to adapt to different paces and professional needs, offering a more intuitive and flexible experience at this crucial moment of transformation towards a more responsible, inclusive, and resilient tourism model.
According to the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez, 'the new Hosts system is born as a strategic tool for the development of training and tourism talent, with the support of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and in line with Goal 7 and Talent Program of the Spain Tourism 2030 Strategy'.
What's new in the program
The main innovation lies in the centralization of all training courses on this new multi-channel platform. The content is grouped into different thematic campuses associated with strategic projects of the State Secretariat for Tourism and SEGITTUR.
These campuses are conceived as an Open Campus: inheriting the trajectory of the renowned Hosts Program and consolidating itself as the reference ally for the continuous training of professionals in the sector, offering certified, free and high-quality programs; and a DTI Campus: aimed at the full members of the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations (Red DTI), it makes available to the destinations training resources linked to the DTI management methodology and the optimization of their resources and tools.
Although the rollout begins with these first two environments, the System has a clear focus on growth. Soon, the offering will be expanded with new campuses linked to leading Spanish tourism projects, such as SICTED and the Smart Destination Platform.
