10th LEONESE CONTEMPORARY URBAN PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

The photograph, titled "The End of Summer," by Esperanza Labrador Rodríguez, is the winner of the first prize in the 10th edition of the competition.

The winning photograph, along with "Rehabilitation Room at Regla Hospital " and "Humble Stars" (second and third prizes, respectively), as well as the rest of the selected original works, will be exhibited at the Leon Museum.

Furthermore, this year, to mark the 10th edition of the Leonese Contemporary Urban Photography Competition, the 32 selected works will be added to the winning photographs from the previous 9 competitions in an adjacent room at the Museum. The exhibition comprises a total of 60 original works.

The León Contemporary Urban Photography Competition was held for the tenth consecutive year with the aim of fostering creativity in the city of Leon and its province, as well as highlighting its urban spaces. This year, a theme or motto was added as a requirement for the photographs: "The Poetics of Light."

Among the winning entries are two selected photographs taken in Astorga and Ponferrada. The acquisition prizes were sponsored by the Chamber of Property's partner offices in both cities, Centro de Negocios Quatro and Pacios López Asesores, respectively. All selected originals can be viewed on the competition website at www.centronegociosindependencia.es.
