The event is an example of institutional collaboration between Turismo de Porto e Norte, Turismo do Centro de Portugal, and Turismo de Castilla y León, with the aim of establishing itself as a permanent fixture in the cross-border gastronomic calendar, attracting visitors, enhancing the shared identity, and strengthening the cultural and economic ties between the two regions.
The gastronomic events will be held on weekends from November 1st to December 8th . This year, the festival also includes a broad program of activities, including two motorcycle tours through Zamora and the northern region of Portugal; an ethnographic exhibition in Aldeadávila de la Ribera; a roundtable discussion on the historical relationship between Spain and Portugal; and, to close the program, a concert by the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra quintet in Miranda do Douro Cathedral.
