Founded by John II of Castile, the Cartuja Monastery of Miraflores houses one of the most notable Gothic sculpture groups from the late 15th century. Above all, the tombs of John II and Isabel of Portugal, and of the Infante Alfonso, parents and brother of Isabella the Catholic, and the exceptional main altarpiece stand out.
