It is a Pre-Roman, Roman and Visigoth city located on a rocky promontory, where the wall was built.

It follows a pattern of repetitive settlement in the forts of Salamanca, as settlements with a defensive function that conditioned the location in steep places, with a natural defense increased with walls and artificial ditches, using places of rugged topography, consequence of the encasing of water courses.

Fragments of Visigoth slates covered of engravings by one or both sides have been found in this enclave.
