Dating from the XIII century, although of previous construction, it was built in stone and brick masonry, over a previous building of ashlar belonging to Romanesque, of which retains a skirting board on the main façade, and the portal of that façade and of the Gate of San Andres.

Despite various modifications over time, currently retains its original plan, reaffirmed by a complete restoration carried out during 1989-1994. It is, without doubt, the best example of Mudejar of Cuellar and, according to the architect and historian Vicente Lamperez y Romea, has the best floor church of this style.

It consists of a wide central nave and two smaller, contemplating a triple apse decorated with blind semicircular arcades series, windows with edges and friezes of diagonal bricks.

Inside stand out various Mudejar frescoes, an engraved gate of Muslim inspiration and an extensive collection of sculptures, among which are the images of Cristo of San Gil, the Virgin of La Rochela and Calvary of Byzantine style.
