Out of the many villages that celebrate Semana Santa (Holy Week) with processions and liturgical events, one festival that stands out is that of El Burgo de Osma. The village is an Episcopal seat, and its festival presents diferent floats, which form daily processions. One in particular is a 16th century float of el Cristo Resucitado (Christ resurrected), copy of an original designed by Juan de Juni.

The events start on Viernes de Dolores (pain Friday) with the Vía Crucis, which leaves form the gothic cathedral. On the Sunday of the Resurrection the last procession is held, called el Encuentro de la Virgen con su Hijo Jesucristo Resucitado (the meeting of the Virgin with her resurrected son) in the Plaza Mayor.
