The growing importance of tourism in shaping the Gross Added Value of Castilla y Leon supposes the existence of challenges to be overcome, such as improving competitiveness and quality, the use of new technologies and the optimization of road communications as well as of knowledge.

Hence, from the Junta de Castilla y Leon we have consider the important task of providing the Autonomous Community of adequate tourist signs with homogeneity criteria, adapted in turn to the regional legislation, from the Ministerio de Fomento and the guidelines of EU. For this purpose it has been necessary to normalize and standardize the tourist information setting criteria and common graphic identity, in general, to apply to the new signals and to the substitution of the old.
