The Square of Santa Maria del Camino stands out in the Jewish Route by Leon. It is also popularly known as square of Grain, since in the past the main market of buying and selling of grain and other products lay here; this space of medieval origin is located in the south of the historic center of Leon. Of paved ground and surrounded by arcades, some of them built in wood, this square has a huge monumental ensemble including the church of Nuestra Señora del Camino or del Mercado and a hostel for pilgrims of the Way of Saint James installed in a convent.
