The sacred is not only manifested in rites, celebrations, and ritual practices, whether individual or collective; this presence—understood as a hierophany—is palpable in a whole series of objects that have accompanied human beings in their daily tasks, at work, at home, in the festive season, or even in death. The exhibition "The Sacred in the Everyday" explores some of the objects that, in one way or another, intertwine their very existence with divinity, especially in the peasant societies of our region.
