This international, traveling exhibition project explores and highlights the profound symbolic and cultural value of ritual masks as intangible heritage shared by diverse communities worldwide. The exhibition reflects the enduring tradition and ritual memory of various peoples. It showcases diverse ritual expressions from Leon, Galicia, Zamora , and Bragança, alongside manifestations from Mexico, Peru, and the Makah people in Washington State (USA).
DRAWING IN COMMUNITYFebruary 26 > June 7, 2026
The exhibition is the culmination of ten years of the pen-and-ink workshop held weekly in the library of the Ethnographic Museum of Castilla y León. It showcases a selection of work by its students, who faithfully attend the museum every Tuesday and Thursday. They share the pen-and-ink technique, but their subjects and formats are diverse. Undoubtedly, this is a collaborative project undertaken in a museum conceived by and for the community.

The exhibition documents the fieldwork of several anthropologists over a number of years in the communities of some provinces of Castilla y León, particularly in Segovia, Avila, Burgos and Valladolid.
VIII "Herminio Ramos" Clay CompetitionJune 26 > June 28, 2026
As part of the Popular Ceramics and Pottery Fair, this exhibition, which this year focuses on the chamber pot, is being held. The six winning pieces, three in the ceramics category and three in the pottery category, will be on display for a year at the Ethnographic Museum of Castilla y León.
