Exhibition of the artist's book. "The Voice of Eternity"

From November 7 to 21, the Public Library of Avila hosts the exhibition "The voice of the eternal" , a work resulting from the collaboration between the engraver Juan Antonio del Castillo and the poet José María Muñoz Quirós .

This artist's book brings together seven engravings and seven literary texts, inspired by the aphorisms of Rabindranath Tagore and translated by Zenobia Camprubí and Juan Ramón Jiménez. The edition is limited to 25 numbered and signed copies, plus five artist's proofs.

About the work

The engravings were made using etching, aquatint, and drypoint techniques on zinc plates and printed on 300 g Hahnemühle paper. The design, editing, and printing were done by Juan Antonio del Castillo, with text printing at Imprenta Castilla (Avila) and binding by Manioso (Avila).

A unique opportunity to enjoy the dialogue between word and image, between poetry and graphic art.

The opening will be on Thursday, November 6th at 7:00 pm in the Library's Auditorium.

You need to pick up your pass 30 minutes before.

Entry to the exhibition will be free during the Library's opening hours.
