The Palacín occupies the former Santa Elvira Sugar Refinery building and is located next to the Congress Palace, of which it forms part. The building has 1,400 square meters of usable space, a uniform exterior, and an interior with three large areas. It is a venue of significant heritage and architectural value, possessing a distinctive character, which has undergone a major transformation since its inauguration around 2010 and has evolved into a space dedicated to culture. Its use is structured around three fundamental pillars: the programming of exhibitions, a network of complementary educational programs (aimed at both children and adults), and finally, it serves as a platform for supporting and promoting the work of emerging artists.

It is currently a vibrant space for cultural enjoyment and artistic experimentation, serving as a platform to support and promote the work of emerging artists through open calls for production, support, mentorship, and promotion. History of photography, contemporary photography, humanist photography, documentary photography, new talents—all within a historical, social, and human context that we strive to monitor closely, adapting to the social challenges that culture addresses as an indispensable instrument, a tool for change. Artists such as Chema Madoz, Ramón Massats, Francesc Català-Roca, Carlos Saura, and Cristina García Rodero, along with emerging artists like Isabel San Juan, Rocío Cuevas, David Inclán, Ire Lenes, and María Romero, contribute to making El Palacín an open cultural space for discovery, connection, and active participation.
