A production based on the satires and political speeches of the Golden Age genius. A concentrated dose of Quevedo 's best irreverence, writings that were highly successful in their time, provoking various controversies, including accusations of subversive work.

The play, a biting comedy with sardonic undertones, presents an eccentric, lame devil waiting for two fools whom he hopes to captivate with his "school of vices," the only one where students are paid to learn. The degrees offered will be: Bachelor of Lying, Master of Deceit, Doctor of Stealing, and Professor of Self-Promotion. The two fools, after initial reluctance upon realizing that the devil is the one teaching the classes, throw themselves headlong into the learning process thanks to the generous offer, achieving excellent results, far exceeding their expectations, as they are appointed Minister and Magistrate respectively. However, the devil has one last, surprising lesson... reserving for himself an even higher and more important position: Banker . The three of them will end up reciting, at a caustic carnival masquerade ball, "Money is the mighty gentleman," with clear echoes of our present day.

A contemporary set, contrasting with period costumes, presents the devil with a reredos of masks, on a black patent leather floor projected to infinity by a gigantic, old mirror in the background. For the finale , a large curtain descends, revealing the grotesque figures from Goya's Black Paintings , merging the newly appointed and conspicuous Minister and Magistrate with the biting caricature of Spain depicted by that other great genius. This serves to highlight Quevedo's caustic critique of the corruption of the rulers of his time, and, of course, as a clear reflection of our recent history.

The show, like any good farce, is politically incorrect, has a high dose of spite, is hurtful, caustic, and therefore provokes intelligent laughter (mostly thanks to the author), so its consumption may be discouraged for audiences with an ultraconservative mindset, or those who go to the theater only to have a good time and not think.
