Medieval days of Avila
The event is also known as "The Market of Three Cultures" (Christian, Jewish and Arabic).
The purpose of the event is to recall and stage the merchants of the Middle Ages; therefore, part of the urban area is decorated according to the aforementioned medieval representation, reaching 2.5 km from the walled perimeter of the city.
In the days of celebration of the party numerous people wear clothes according to the time that is intended to theatrical.
Typical characters in the festival are:
Comedians, romanceros, firefighters, musicians, sheriffs, silversmiths, card makers, esparteros, basket makers, toy makers, can and alpaca embellers, etc., along with animation groups in the streets of Ávila (dancers, jugglers, etc.)
Various types of complementary activities and competitions are carried out.
