Vega de Valcarce
Between Castro Veiga, of which nothing remains, and Castrosarracín, cited by Aymeric Picaud in Guide as Sarracenicum Castro, founded in the ninth century by Saracen, Astorga and Count of Bierzo, stands this county, head of the Valle del Valcarce and Set in a privileged position within it.
Moreover, in this village you can find: the Sarracín Castle, a traditional "palloza" round thatched dwelling and an unusual sculpture, the Church of la Magdalena and the Roman bridges.
