Located outside the city of Segovia, on the banks of the Eresma River, and integrated into a landscape of great beauty, stands this Monastery, of uncertain origin and result of at least three construction stages: late Romanesque, Late Middle Ages and since the XVII century.

The oldest in the city. In the year 140 there was a temple dedicated to Jupiter that was destroyed by fire and in the year 919 a temple dedicated to San Vicente had already been built.
