Cervantes was declared honorary citizen of Valladolid in 1962
Museum of Cervantes
The house where Cervantes lived from 1603 to 1606, and where he wrote a part of ‘El Quijote’. The house was opened to the public in 1916 as the Biblioteca Cervantina Popular, but in 1947 its installations were renovated and in 1948 it was formally opened.
