Valladolid Museum boasts a large collection of mainly archaeological and artistic exhibits from the city of Valladolid and the province.

The outstanding archaeological collection includes objects from throughout history, from man’s first appearance in the province until the present day. Particularly worthy of note are the items dating back to the Iron Age from the archaeological sites of Soto de Medinilla and Padilla de Duero, as well as Late Roman ornaments and decorative items from sites such as Simancas, San Miguel del Arroyo and others.

The Fine Arts section includes a large number of panel paintings and decorative art exhibits, as well as gold and silver work and ceramics. Particularly worthy of note are the 15th and 16th century paintings, and in particular the 'La Adoración de los Pastores' (The Adoration of the Shepherds) by Vicente Masip, the painting by the artist of Bishop Sancho de Rojas, depicting the Virgin and Child, and two works commissioned by Saint Catherine. A museum that is rich in history and well worth exploring.
