In a region as large and diverse geographically as it is Castilla y Leon, with landscapes of plain and mountain, forests, mountains and fields, the hunt has always been very abundant and that has had over time an impact on popular and traditional recipes.

Hunting dishes are present in many of the restaurants in Castilla y Leon during the hunting season, through the different gastronomic days organized. A large number of dishes of small game hunt, can be thus found, game hunting and small game hunt, pickling, stewed, casseroles, stews, cured, stuffed... of which enjoy tasting their unique flavor.
