The Fresno de la Vega Bell Pepper Festival is celebrated on the last weekend of September.

This established agri-food event promotes the Fresno de la Vega Bell Pepper , a product with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) since 2007.

This festival is the economic and social engine for the municipality: it boosts commerce, generates employment (especially for women), and prevents rural depopulation. The main product is bell peppers, but it also supports local products such as wines from Valdevimbre - Los Oteros, artisanal cheeses, sweets, cured meats, honey, liqueurs, legumes, and preserves.
