From the Middle Ages this plaza has been dedicated to the celebration of tournaments, fiestas and jousts. Its present structure dates from the 18th century. The plaza is flanked by two to three storey houses, with open galleries decorated with wooden adornments, some with arches and fiesta balconies which are opened in festivals but are closed with wooden doors the rest of the year.
