The original tower forms the nucleus of the fortress, which has three different levels separated by pointed barrel vaults. It was probably built in the late 14th or early 15th century.

Subsequently the tower was surrounded with a jacket that covered some loopholes and windows. The last floor of the tower was built in the 16th century. A roof was also built on a wall without battlements.
