Gypsum mines
The hollowed-out mountain is home to the old Hornillos de Cerrato plasterworks, active from 1914 to 1988, when the veins were exhausted. It was an important operation with excellent quality gypsum, which had 45 workers and a production of up to 150 tons per day.
