Interpretation Centre of the Camino de San Salvador

The Interpretation Centre of the Camino de San Salvador in Cuadros aims to highlight the historical, cultural, heritage and natural background of the route throughout the municipality and become an integrating element of the socio-cultural activity that revolves around the itinerary.

The aim of the classroom is to have an eminently educational and informative character, to help residents learn about the rich historical and cultural heritage and the diverse landscapes that Camino draws in the Municipality, to improve knowledge and care of the environment and to broaden horizons, providing all visitors with practical information to discover, inch by inch, the richness of one of the main European cultural itineraries.

One of the classroom walls will be covered with special decorative cork for walls and ceilings, in order to reinforce its natural and ecological character. It will be made using a special paper base on which the decorative natural cork laminate is adhered, which will serve as an exhibition wall for photographs and written notes, collecting messages and impressions from the Classroom users regarding experiences or experiences related to the itinerary being studied. The best photographs will serve as the basis for a permanent collection that will be implemented and reinforced with an annual prize that encourages and stimulates citizen participation and also serves to raise awareness for the improvement of conservation and respect for the surroundings and the environment of the municipality.
