There is no other place better than the Old Sepúlveda Prison to address the issue of confinement in all its senses, since there is not only the inmate who purges the crime. Also the thick walls of the palaces, the walled cities or the high walls of the convents have imprisoned, voluntarily or forcibly, the men and women who have starred in our history.

The building of the Old Sepúlveda Prison, framed between the now disappeared Arco de la Villa and the cubes of the wall, began to be built in the year 1543
