Known locally as Puente Pino or ‘Pine Bridge’, it was considered a major engineering achievement of the early 20th century, as it vastly improved communications between the regions of Sayago and Aliste, in the province of Zamora. The bridge stands over the River Duero, and boasts breathtaking views of the stunning Arribes del Duero Nature Park.
