On Wednesday, February 4th, at 5:30 p.m. with "En Volandas" for users aged 6 to 12.

The origins of literary illustration transport us to a world of fantastic and fairytale characters very present in our imagination.
The narrative section, using the different letters of the alphabet, tells stories of fantastical beings like the Hydra, a serpent-like monster with seven heads that grew back as each head was cut off, or Icarus, whose father Daedalus built him wings of feathers and wax so he could escape the island of Crete. It also features classic characters like Alice, from Lewis Carroll's famous novel, and Pinocchio, the main character in Carlo Collodi's work.
We will encounter 26 relief-engraved plates featuring 26 different characters, each with their own unique story. We will use the images of these characters, inking them to create a print that we will then illuminate and illustrate using colors and additive techniques.

A workshop where we work on illustration using manual roller printing, and where you can see the entire process of creating an image from a printing plate or matrix. From how it's engraved, the different tools and machinery used in the process, to transferring the plate to the printing press and the final print.

Register at reception (987 20 67 10).
