Lecture by Nilufar Saberi, Iranian human rights activist.

Born in Iran (Tehran) in the 1980s, she went into exile in Spain in 1980 after the Islamic Revolution. She resides in Madrid and holds Spanish nationality. She denounces the repression of the Iranian regime and the lack of freedoms. Her discourse focuses on the situation of women.

She is one of the voices linked to the "Woman, Life, and Freedom" movement, which emerged in 2022 after the death of Mahsa Jina Amini, a young Iranian Kurdish woman, whose death ignited a spark, transforming the streets of Iran into a stage for resistance and struggle. This tragic event triggered the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement, a feminist revolution that challenges the Islamist regime and advocates for women's rights not only in Iran but globally.

Two years later, Nilufar Saberi, activist and human rights defender, offers her perspective on what she says is "the first mixed feminist revolution in history."
