Activities for children who do not yet read. After listening to a short story, they will do a craft related to the story. This encourages listening and interest in the stories hidden in books, seeking to pique their curiosity to learn to read.
It is essential to have a library reader card .
To participate, you must register at RPLA: Access to registration for library events
The activity will take place at the bebeteca on the following Saturdays:
- January 17: "ELMER". Elmer is the story of a multicolored elephant who feels different from his gray herd and decides to paint himself gray to be the same, but he realizes that life is better celebrating differences, which leads to an annual party where everyone celebrates diversity, teaching children values such as friendship, self-esteem and inclusion.
- January 31: "WHAT DOES THE MOON TASTE LIKE?" A book as perfect and delightful as the full moon. The animals of the jungle will show us that things shared always taste much better .
- February 14: "THE INVISIBLE THREAD". Tom and Lia discover that everyone carries an invisible thread that connects them to the people they love; throughout the story they follow that thread and find hugs, laughter and surprises until they reunite with their loved ones.
- February 28: "THE RAINBOW FISH." The Fish, the brightest in the sea, refuses to share his scales; when he is left alone, he embarks on an underwater journey and ends up finding new friends after giving away one of his scales.
- March 14: "CAMILA THE ZEBRA". A strong gust of wind separates Camila from her stripes; while she searches for them, different animals appear with borrowed stripes and together they restore her appearance until Camila recovers what she lost.
- March 28: "THE LITTLE SHEEP WHO CAME TO DINNER." A hungry wolf prepares a dinner party and welcomes a charming little sheep; the evening takes funny and unexpected turns amidst dishes, conversations, and a final surprise that changes the night.
- April 11: "THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR." A little caterpillar is born with a huge appetite; it eats different foods every day, then builds a cocoon and, after a while, emerges transformed into a colorful butterfly.
- April 18: "THE BOY WITH FLOWERS ON HIS HEAD." David has beautiful flowers growing on his head, like a little garden. One day, these flowers begin to fall off, and he becomes sad and withdrawn. His best friend, determined to help him, gathers the class to create new flowers for him. Little by little, David's spirit returns.
- May 9th: "WHAT COLOR IS A KISS?" Minimoni is a color fanatic; her favorite thing in the world is drawing and painting. But one day she wants to draw a kiss and she has a problem: what color is a kiss? We'll have to help Monica find out.
- May 23: THE WOLF IS COMING! A group of animals hears that "the wolf is coming" and quickly hide... but when he appears, he brings a totally unexpected surprise.
- June 6: I LOVE MYSELF VERY MUCH. A tender and fun story about learning to love yourself. Through everyday situations and colorful illustrations, children discover that feeling good about themselves is just as important as sharing and caring for others.
