Participants: Marco Antonio Martín Bailón (President of IEZ "Florián de Ocampo"), Valentín Cabero Diéguez (Professor at USAL and author of the book's prologue) and the authors.

Javier Fernández Lozano and Rodrigo Andrés Bercianos bring us closer to understanding the environmental cryptosystems of our Zamora region, a place full of contrasts and biodiversity. These attributes are captured in their synthesis study of the geographical conditions of the province of Zamora , which underpin its environmental foundations. They also focus, with academic rigor, on geomorphology, fluvial dynamics, and a significant portion of natural and human activities.
The authors approach the research with a specialized and analytical methodology, carried out under challenging conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Behind the geochemical analyses, the two young researchers reveal not only an academic and scientific concern, but also a deep environmental and human sensitivity in favor of the proper management of natural resources and the quality of public health.
