On October 7th , at 7:00 PM, in the Auditorium of the Palencia Public Library , the book Leila Sebastián: Pages of Short Stories by Antonio Daganzo will be presented. Joining the author as presenters will be writer, illustrator, and editor of the magazine Entreletras , Eugenio Rivera , and Palencia-born reciter and broadcaster Elda Hidalgo , who will also read several excerpts from some of the stories included in the book.

Leila Sebastián presents nine short stories by the Madrid-born poet and writer. These nine works showcase a diversity of techniques, as well as the author's characteristic rich style, in a web of human relationships inhabited by the voice of dissatisfaction, the threat of disillusionment, and even, at times, wonder at the inexplicable. Yet, this doesn't preclude glimpses of fleeting moments when the elusive outline of happiness seems to loom in the distance. And all of this is filtered through a vibrant evocation of the female figure.

Furthermore, the story entitled Secret Journey , set mainly in the city of Palencia, comes directly from the pages of Carrión , Antonio Daganzo's first novel.

Antonio Daganzo (Madrid, 1976) is a poet, novelist, journalist, cultural commentator, and musicologist. He holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid.

His first novel, Carrión (2017), won the Miguel Delibes Narrative Prize in Valladolid in 2018, and his novella Es un fracaso el mundo was published in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2022. He is also the author of ten poetry collections; the two most recent are El murciélago entre fuegos de artificio (2024, in a Spanish-Chilean edition) and Tankas de la firme luz (2026, in an Argentinian edition). As a musicologist, he is the author of the popular essays Clásicos a contratiempo (2014) and Música, delicias del asombro (2023).
