This informative book aims to decipher Romanesque art, its expansion throughout Europe, and its roots in Zamora, using the Roman mile as a measure of the steps that visitors will take through the city of Zamora accompanied by a guide. The first part of the guide unravels the keys to Romanesque art, its creators, and its means of expansion. The second part reveals the characteristics that accompany Romanesque art in Zamora to understand its chronology and development. The third part invites readers to take a tour of the Romanesque Mile and discover the temples that mark this 1,600-meter cultural itinerary. The fourth part invites readers to explore other urban routes to discover the city's medieval vestiges. Traces of Romanesque art are evident in its temples, walls, streets, and material remains. The guide contains 208 pages of content, text, photographs, plans and sketches to enliven the reader's adventure and highlight the quality and value of the Romanesque heritage of the city of Zamora.
