"Flux-Box" workshop, with Sarah Rasines

• For boys and girls ages 6 to 12, who may be accompanied by an adult if they wish.
• Multipurpose room of the Zamora Public Library
• June 30 and July 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Registration begins June 16 in the children's and youth section
  

Come and immerse yourself in a world of creativity and sensory exploration at the Flux-Box workshop! Over two days, you'll have the opportunity to create your own self-published book-box, a unique project where art, books, and fun intertwine in innovative ways. This workshop is designed for those looking to experiment with the senses, exploring new forms of artistic expression through diverse materials and collaborative activities.

What will you do in the Flux-Box workshop?

1. Cassette Loop Construction: Immerse yourself in the magic of sound and learn how to create musical loops with cassettes. Experiment with recording, manipulation, and creating your own soundscape.
2. Light and Slide Experiments: Play with light and shadow in a workshop that will allow you to create striking images and visual effects, using slides and light to explore new ways of seeing the world.
3. Creating an Artist's Book: Unleash your creativity by creating a unique artist's book that you can personalize with all the materials the workshop offers.

At the end, you'll take home your very own "Flux-Box," a box filled with materials, ideas, and experiments to continue exploring and creating, either alone or sharing your discoveries with friends and family. Each Flux-Box is a gateway to creativity, a project to continue exploring long after the workshop ends.
