Palacios3 is a project coordinated by the "Royal Palace of Valladolid" Chair of Cultural Heritage and Defense (University of Valladolid – Ministry of Defense) with the collaboration of the Provincial Historical Archive of Valladolid (Palacio de los Vivero), IV General Subinspection of the Army (Royal Palace), General Archive of Castilla y León (Palacio del Licenciado Butrón) and the Valladolid Museum (Palacio de Fabio Nelli).

The project proposes an urban cultural itinerary aimed at students in their fourth year of secondary school and first year of high school .

It is structured around a visit to four historic palaces in the city of Valladolid , where students will discover some characteristic elements of Valladolid's palatial architecture from the 15th and 16th centuries , as well as its typological evolution and relationship with the city. In this sense, in addition to incorporating some of its historical and artistic key features, the itinerary adopts a novel architectural and spatial approach, which is not usually common in programming at these educational levels.

The four palaces ( Vivero Palace , Royal Palace , Butrón Palace , and Fabio Nelli Palace ) have the advantage of being very close to each other and their route is partially pedestrian. The total duration is estimated at a maximum of 3.5 hours, starting at 9:30 at the Vivero Palace and concluding between 12:30 and 13:00 at the Fabio Nelli Palace. In each of the buildings, students will complete a worksheet on its representative elements or landmarks (façade, entrance hall, courtyard, and staircase), with their teachers being responsible for their supervision and movement. For the former, the corresponding worksheets will be provided, and for the latter, a teacher's notebook including the itinerary data, learning situation, and solution guide. In addition, in October, teachers will be offered a guided tour of the entire itinerary.

Registration will open on September 15th.

This first year (2025-2026 school year), one visit per month will be offered for a single group or tour (maximum 25 people), taking place on the third Thursday of each month.

Reservations will be made in strict order of entry to the email palacios3@uva.es as indicated on the websites and media of both the Museum of Valladolid (visit coordinator) and the Royal Palace of Valladolid Chair.
