Thriller directed by Kevin MacDonald in 2009 and starring Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck

Cal McCaffrey (Russell Crowe) is a veteran journalist for the Washington Globe and an old friend of up-and-coming Congressman Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck), one of the politicians of the moment. When Collins's assistant and lover is found dead on the subway, he turns to Cal to prove it wasn't a suicide. During the investigation, certain clues are discovered that could indicate everything is part of a plot much larger than they imagined.

According to critics , "it's a convincing film noir, with a powerful visual flavor and power, and a compelling ability to hook you. (...) There are meaningful twists and well-explained surprises in this twisted plot."
