On November 19th , at 7:00 PM, in the Auditorium of the Palencia Public Library , as part of the activities that the Jazz Palencia Festival
develops in the library, a concert by Zo Brinviyer accompanied by Lachy Torriente will be held.
Zo Brinviyer is a poet and performance artist who channels the power of words through jazz, her most beloved music. In 2024, she burst onto the Cuban scene with an innovative project alongside trumpeter Lachy Torriente , where poetry and jazz intertwine in a dialogue with local musicians and Afro-Cuban roots, amidst spirituality, improvisation, and the pulse of the congas.
Her poems, born from the body and vulnerability, explore what it means to be a woman in a man's world: rage, faith, shame, motherhood, the border, joy… and, above all, love as a driving force.
With this proposal, he invites us to celebrate life, let go of fears, and allow music and words to move us, liberate us, and unite us in an authentic celebration for the soul.
